Reviews and Other Information:

"Kimberly Adkins has done it again! Her second book, DARKENBANE: THE FOUNTAIN, is just as enchanting...as her debut, THE MEDALLION OF SOLAUS. Her writing is smooth and overwhelmingly beautiful as she places the beginning of the story in the French Quarter of New Orleans...a masterful tale of romance, fantasy and time travel; they mingle well together and make you believe the true power of love is just beyond a grasp, or in this story, beyond a magical fountain."

Kasey's View 5 Stars...A recommended read...

The story begins in our present day New Orleans, after Hurricane Katrina. Wow! When you pick up this book and open to the first page, you are taken away! It's a "can't put down" read. Kimberly immediately takes you through magic portals to other worlds or dimensions, you decide...
She introduces her characters in such away, you feel as if you know them well. When Hayden meets Jasmine, you can feel the heat that emanates between them come off the pages. Hayden is every woman's secret desire for a "Prince Charming".
Truly, this is a fast and fun read as Kimberly leads you through the mazes of time with Jasmine's and Hayden's adventures intertwining until they meet again...and again....and again....so the story goes....

I would definitely rate this a great big 5, one of those reads that you just can't bring yourself to put down.

Dark Angel Reviews

"DARKENBANE: THE FOUNTAIN is sure to keep readers enthralled from page one to the final page. For those who love the paranormal, historical, classical New Orleans lore, faery tales, and legends, DARKENBANE: THE FOUNTAIN is a “don’t miss” novel.
Kimberly Adkins’ characters are rich and full, empathetic and realistic, even in the midst of fantasy scenery. A wonderful prose style and the taut plot lines entwining the fantasy reality and contemporary New Orleans with Jasmine’s earlier life in California
round out a truly exciting story."

Coffeetime Romance

Darkenbane: The Fountain is a thrilling ride into a magical forest that absolutely engaged this reader. There were moments I found myself in complete awe with the path that Jasmine and Hayden ensue. They have a chemistry that makes this story most enjoyable. Kimberly Adkins creates an intriguing read. I absolutely love the backdrop of New Orleans and the French Quarter. She depicts the story so beautifully I felt as if I was walking right on Canal Street. Romantic, fantasy filled, and a journey into a host of events that practically come to life, this is one story not to miss. She spins a tale where I want to travel.

Paranormal Romance Org 'PNR'

"This book was a psychedelic trip through quantum physics. The author took on time travel in a way that was understandable and fun. The character interactions kept you on your toes through the entire book, and the ending was a surprise. The revelations in the last few chapters of the book make you stare at the pages with your mouth hanging open, and a giggle rolling in your chest. You really never see the next step coming in this book and it was a refreshing change. I love the author's quick wit and she really shined through the heroine of the story. This book quickly became one of my favorites."

Darkenbane: The Fountain Excerpt:

With a sigh, he took her hand and brought it to his face. She

gently held his cheek, trying not to tremble when he turned his

head and caressed her open palm with a tender, reverent kiss.

Tendrils of electricity shot through her fingers and into the center

of her body.

Her knees no longer seemed willing to support her, and Jasmine

ended up on the bed next to him before she could help herself.

His breath was hot on her wrist; it inflamed her pulse and made

her aware of every single inch of her body that wasn’t touching

his.

She glanced up into his face, her green eyes full of desire. The

look he gave her was ageless and she realized she had never felt so

full of grace as she did when she saw herself reflected in his eyes.

“Forgive me,” he breathed as if he could no longer control

himself.

With a strong, swift motion, he wrapped his right arm around

her slender waist and pulled her up against the length of his body

as if he were trying to conform to her every curve.

Jasmine lost control the instant she came up against him. His

mouth covered hers with such a demanding force that she felt like

she was giving up her soul to his passion and she willingly poured

everything she had into his deep kiss.

His right hand found its way to the small of her back and with

one swift movement, he pressed her against his thigh and she felt

him pulse against her. She gasped at the ache that swelled deep

inside her, at the emptiness she never realized she had, that he

must fill or she would die.

“Wait,” he whispered in a tense voice, and she felt him pull away

both mentally and physically. The space between them was small,

but it felt like oceans of time that separated them.

“I cannot do this to you.” His eyes were closed and his jaw line

firm with resolution. “I will not dishonor you in this way.”
